MANCHESTER: The Church of the Ascension will host a charity dinner on Friday, 23 October, at Ascension Road, Salford. This was announced by Father Falak Sher, the organiser of the event.
A special feature of the event will be a Persian and Pakistani art exhibition and auction. During the live auction, exquisite Persian calligraphy, elegant Pakistani heritage art, luxurious textiles and contemporary masterpieces will be presented to the audience. All funds raised will be used to support the church’s heating system, helping to keep the church warm and welcoming throughout the winter. “We will specially invite Muslim business community leaders and appeal to them to join us and donate generously for this noble cause,” Father Falak Sher added.
