The 7th F-Class World Championship commenced at Bisley, UK, on 12 August 2026, bringing together 207 of the world’s finest long-range shooters from 24 countries. The first stage featured individual matches at 800, 900 and 1000 yards, conducted on 12–13 August.
Represented by a small contingent of 12 shooters, Team Pakistan delivered a historic performance, winning 4 Gold, 4 Silver and 5 Bronze medals—the highest FTR medal tally at the Championship; a unique honour and a moment of immense pride for the nation. In just three years of international competition, Pakistan has emerged as a formidable force in F-Class shooting.
Lt Col Junaid Ali led Pakistan’s medal charge with 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze, while Sepoy Muhammad Waleed secured 1 Gold and 1 Bronze. In the Under-25 category, Huzaifa Gill added 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals, while Ahsan Gill secured 1 Bronze. Further highlighting the team’s depth and consistency, seven Pakistani shooters—Junaid Ali, Muhammad Waleed, Obaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gill, Junaid Waqas and Ahsan Gulrez—finished among the top 100 competitors.
Individual World Champion title is widely regarded as the jewel in the crown of the Championship, demanding highest level of consistency across all three distances. Alhamdulillah, Lt Col Junaid Ali gave sterling performance and was crowned Individual FTR World Champion, demonstrating outstanding consistency across all three distances and finishing ahead of the field of 207 competitors. This is a landmark achievement and the biggest individual success in Pakistan’s international F- Class history.
The achievement follows Pakistan’s impressive performance at the F-Class British Open 2026, held at Bisley from 3–8 August, where the team won 7 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals.
The coveted 16-member World Championship Team Match is scheduled on 15 – 16 August; across 800, 900 and 1000 yards. The team will put in its best to keep the flag high.
