Al Mustafa Hospital Dhodial Mansehra hosted a dignified ceremony to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day, bringing together prominent community figures, government officials, academics and representatives from different walks of life.
The ceremony was attended by Muhammad Hanif Gohar Swati, Chairman of Gohar Group of Companies and Chairman of Air Karachi; Asad Mahmood Lodhi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief and Human Resources, Mansehra; Professor Dr Shakirullah, Dean and Chairman of the Department of Archaeology at Hazara University; Junaid Jamshed, Assistant Commissioner Baffa Pakhal; Colonel Fayyaz; and Tajuddin Lala.
The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Speakers highlighted the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day and emphasised the importance of patriotism, national unity and a continued commitment to the country’s progress.
An Independence Day cake was subsequently cut to mark the occasion, with participants expressing their love and solidarity with Pakistan.
In a distinctive environmental initiative, fruit-bearing and shade-providing plants were distributed among the distinguished guests at the conclusion of the ceremony. The initiative carried a message that celebrating independence should also involve contributing to a greener, healthier and more sustainable Pakistan.
The ceremony concluded with prayers and expressions of commitment to the welfare and development of the country.
The event was organised under the auspices of Al Mustafa Welfare Trust Pakistan, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to combining humanitarian service with community engagement and national causes.
