LONDON: A prestigious South Asian Festival, organized by the Voice of South Asian Art and Literature (VSAAL), was held, drawing prominent figures from the fields of literature, culture, music, and social service.
Notable attendees included Moneeza Hashmi daughter of the renowned poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz and the distinguished poet Iftikhar Arif, alongside other significant literary and social personalities. Tributes were paid to the life, poetry, and humanitarian spirit of Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
A memorable highlight of the event was the presentation of the Abdul Sattar Edhi Award to Ishtiaq Chaudhry, Chairman of Al-Noor Welfare Trust and UK Peace Ambassador, in recognition of his long-standing community and welfare services. Attendees warmly applauded Ishtiaq Chaudhry upon receiving the award, hailing his social contributions as shining examples of humanity, love, and service to mankind.
