Calgary, Alberta: Al Mustafa Canada successfully hosted a well-attended community event in Calgary, bringing together community leaders, supporters, donors, volunteers, media representatives and distinguished guests. The event received an overwhelming response from the Calgary community, with the venue filled to capacity.
The programme was hosted by Talha Imtiaz and Taalea Imtiaz. Proceedings began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Imran Sialvi Sahib, followed by a beautiful Naat presented by Talha Imtiaz.
Chaudhry Imtiaz Ahmed, Director Al Mustafa Alberta, delivered the welcome address. He warmly welcomed the guests and expressed his gratitude to the community, supporters, donors and volunteers for their continued cooperation and support for Al Mustafa’s humanitarian mission.
Nisar Kallu, Director Al Mustafa Canada, then gave a brief presentation on the humanitarian work of Al Mustafa Welfare Trust, highlighting its 75 projects across 25 countries. He shared that Al Mustafa has successfully completed more than 320,000 eye surgeries, helping restore sight and transform the lives of people in need.
Mr. Kallu also highlighted Al Mustafa’s clean water projects, orphan sponsorship programs, the Freedom Campaign, and the organization’s local Community Food Bank initiative in Canada.
He encouraged members of the community to support humanitarian causes through Al Mustafa Canada, a registered charitable organization, noting that eligible donations receive official tax-deductible receipts for Canadian tax purposes.
During his remarks, Nisar Kallu also shared how he and Imtiaz Ahmed became associated with the Al Mustafa mission after being inspired by the vision, dedication and humanitarian leadership of Chairman Abdul Razzaq Sajid Sahib.
The main attraction of the evening was renowned motivational speaker Syed Qasim Ali Shah Sahib. His thought-provoking and inspiring address captivated the audience, with pin-drop silence throughout his speech. He also engaged directly with attendees during an interactive question-and-answer session.
At the conclusion of the formal program, Atif Alam thanked the audience for attending and invited the guests to proceed for dinner.
On behalf of Al Mustafa Canada, Nisar Kallu and Imtiaz Ahmed expressed their sincere appreciation to all donors, supporters, community leaders, media representatives, government representatives and guests who contributed to the success of the event.
