DADYAL, AZAD KASHMIR: Al Mustafa Welfare Trust Chairman Abdul Razzaq Sajid has visited the under-construction Al Mustafa Eye Hospital in Dadyal, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, to review construction progress on a healthcare project expected to expand access to free, quality eye care for millions of people across the surrounding region.
Accompanied by members of the organisation’s team, Sajid inspected the ongoing construction work and received a detailed briefing from project engineer Mian Arshad, who said the hospital was expected to be completed within the next few months.
The hospital is being developed to serve communities across Mirpur, Bhimber and Kotli districts of Azad Kashmir, as well as Kallar Syedan tehsil in Rawalpindi district, Punjab. Once operational, the facility is expected to provide a significant boost to access to specialised eye care for people who often face financial and geographical barriers to treatment.
According to the project team, the hospital will be equipped with modern medical technology to provide comprehensive ophthalmic services, including eye disease treatment and surgical procedures, free of charge to patients.
The initiative reflects Al Mustafa Welfare Trust’s commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to underserved communities, particularly those unable to afford specialised medical treatment. By establishing a dedicated eye hospital in Dadyal, the organisation aims to bring essential services closer to communities across a wide catchment area.
The visit was also attended by Nusrat Saleem, Managing Director of Al Mustafa Pakistan, along with Karam Hussain, Sajjad Azhar, Nawaz Kharl, Mohsin Ali and Mubashir Hussain.
The team reviewed the progress of the project as work continues towards completion of the facility, which is intended to strengthen the region’s eye care infrastructure and provide free treatment to those in need.
